What a wonderful experience it is to deal with beaurocracy!

After much fuss with the powers that be, we finally got our operating business name approved, and have made the changes official with our new website header (below).

LRS Wedding Solutions is now officially the owner/operator of SkWeddingWebsite.com website, as well as this blog. LRS Wedding Solutions is the new division of LRS Consulting whose mission is to bring together brides and grooms with wedding industry businesses.

SkWeddingWebsite.com is the first website in the LRS Wedding Solutions family.

In my travels I stumbled upon a neat tool that can be used to turn your pictures into videos at http://www.animoto.com/.

It’s kind of a cool idea to take pictures from your wedding or engagement, set them to some music and share them with friends. It’s free to sign up and it seems as though you can make as many videos as you like.

They’ve put together a pretty decent library of songs you can use in the videos, or you can upload your own MP3’s.

Basically all you have to do is select a few pictures that you want used in the video. You can either upload them from your computer or if you already have them on sites like Facebook or Flickr they can grab them from there too. The next step is to pick your music, and then Animoto puts your video together for you.

The whole process takes about 15 minutes max.

The only downside is that if you want to make a video longer than 30 seconds it will cost you $3, or you can get unlimited videos for a year for $30.

As we posted earlier, flower shows are a great way to get flower ideas for your wedding. To follow up with that idea, an ad in the Leader-Post today is promoting the Wascana Flower Shoppe’s Floral Wedding Show.

The Floral Wedding Show will take place Saturday, March 1st from 9-6 and on Sunday, March 2nd from 11-6.

I found when ordering the letters for our initials for the top of our cake it cost a lot more to get the ones embellished with Swarovski crystals but I really liked the look of them. So off to Michaels I went to see what they had that might solve my problem and of course they an answer, they had individual swarovski crystals in many colors to fit any theme and with a little glue I had the letters I wanted.

It may have required a little craftiness on my part and a decision on pattern but in the end they got to look like I wanted and looked great! So when considering the letters as a cake topper, keep in mind you can order the plain ones and have them look just as great if not better than the much more costly embellished ones with a little work!
