Underwater Scuba weddings are definitely on the unique side.  If you wanted to get married underwater, where would you even start?  Islandpreacha.com, that’s where!

You may now kiss the bride...but then get the oxygen back onMatthew Sweeting is the Island Preacha, a non-denominational pastor and licensed marriage officer in the Bahamas.  He does all the normal stuff you’d expect from a pastor in the Bahamas including outdoor and church weddings.  You can find his rates for that here.

But did we mention he also does underwater weddings?

You book your scuba trip through Stuart Cove’s by using the form on the Island Preacha website.  From there, they’ll set everything up for your underwater wedding.  You’ll arrive with a dive slate and that’s where the vows are placed.

Pretty neat stuff.

You can add on photography and videography packages through Matthew.  And let’s be honest, no one is going to get married underwater without getting some evidence to go along with it.

If you’re the type that just can’t seem to get excited about the traditional wedding and would rather have a good story to tell instead, this seems like the best extreme destination wedding that we’ve come across.  It doesn’t get much better for the thrill seeking couple than having a shark show up for your wedding pictures.

Matthew was kind enough to send us some photos as well, so we’ve included them below:
